Hi ,
I wanted to set active-active cluster(two cluster) with RF=3 with 4 nodes on each cluster . I am trying this in a bare machine. I am not getting the support documents. Please help me in setting if anybody has did it. I am using yugabyte-1.3.0.0.
Hi @Raghunath_Murmu, multi data center support is still work in progress and not available yet. We have recently begun adding support for it and hope to have an initial, beta version available in September. Here’s some documentation on what we plan to add:
https://github.com/YugaByte/yugabyte-db/blob/master/architecture/design/multi-region-2DC-deployment.md
ok , many many thanks.
I have two clusters in GCP deployed using v2.4.2 Yugaware. I only want to replicate cassandra. Following the instruction https://docs.yugabyte.com/stable/deploy/multi-dc/2dc-deployment/
I assume 2.4.2’s 2DC replication is solid by now. But the configuration look simple enough yet I could not make it work. Does 2DC replication in 2.4.2 requires CDC and an external Pub/Sub system?
What do you mean by this ? Can you be more explicit ?
It doesn’t require any external system. It should work. See docs: Deploy | YugabyteDB Docs
