Restore old version 2.1.10 to new version

we have a backup in version 2.1.10, and want to restore it to new cluster that is in 2.8.3.
Is the backup compatible to version 2.8.3?

@tyuengithub in what format is the backup? Is it a distributed snapshot?

Hi Dorian,

The backup is for YCQL. From the 2.1.10 platform, not sure how do I to tell the backup is distributed or not.

I’d suggest restoring to the same version and then upgrading the cluster normally. cc @Oleg
