I think you have to specify the --replication-factor. Can you try with [yugabyted](https://docs.yugabyte.com/preview/reference/configuration/yugabyted/) cli cause it’s to run & test? ---

hi Dorian, For "-replication-factor: value, is it correct? "replication-factor: “3” or null in yugabyted.conf file. Thanks. ---

Please, usually create a new thread (this is pretty old and unrelated). In this case, we don’t have an option to set rf in config file. It should be set using `./yugabyted configure data_placement --rf=` ---
